Charlie in Ward's Pond; Alexis and geese.

Charlie and I went to Ward's Pond yesterday. Still too cold for me to go in, but he liked it.







Later, Alexis and I went down to the Riverway to try to photograph birds with our new cameras.




It's nice things are finally starting to green up.

Does Charlie just jump in and start swimming or does he wait for encouragement from you? Does he ever put his head under water?

Charlie has to be restrained to keep from dragging me into the water. Once I let him off-leash, we try to get him to politely sit and wait, but often he just launches himself into the water.

If there's a stick under the water he'll submerge his head to get it.

the only time he's seen a hose is when i'm hosing mud off his legs--he doesn't like it.

Not really. When I've done it he's not interested in interacting with me. Maggie wades but won't swim, but has a couple times in pursuit of ducks. Haven't tried with Jim yet. Alexis prefers the warm water of the Caribbean.
