Not a great picture, but the best look I've gotten so far at one of the ocelots.


The new baby Grevy's zebra out on exhibit.


Anyone care to guess the purpose of this artificial canid?

And they're considered pests in Australia! How rude! I wouldn't mind having something that cute pester me in my yard. (Unless they also do things like eat my flowers and poop in my yard, but I'll pretend I didn't see it.)

Artificial canid is used somehow to help real canids mate? Make the zoo look fuller?

They're only considered pests by farmers, who have taken over their land and made it ideal grazing and drinking areas for the red roos.

The resultant population explosion does result in an industry for a very healthy, tasty and eco-friendly meat however. ;)

Hehe. The shock I get from overseas people when I say that never fails to amuse me.

They are tasty, low in fat and high in iron. I have roo quite often, you can buy it at the supermarket.
